Roland's great love (aside from sleep and cigarettes) was radio… from setting up a radio station in the garage in Hazel Avenue, though his budding career at Big D and later time at Radio Nova, Kiss FM and a dizzying number of stations as far-flung as Dublin, Galway, Monaghan and… Helsinki… If he could be anywhere, as radio studio was where he was happiest.
